Account & Data Deletion

Information on how to request the permanent deletion of your Miru account, devices, and associated cloud data in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies.

1. What data is deleted

When an account deletion request is fulfilled, we permanently delete:

  • Your account profile, login sessions, and authenticated email address.
  • All registered paired device IDs and bearer tokens.
  • All user-curated playlists, favorite channel assignments, and sync receipts.
  • Any pairing session handshakes and scrubbed catalog previews.

Note: Miru servers never receive or store provider passwords, personal media streams, or provider catalogs. Watch progress and track preferences are stored locally on your Android TV and can be cleared directly from TV Settings → Playback preferences.

2. How to request deletion

You may request deletion through either of the following methods:

Method A: Email Support (Recommended)

Send an email to support@miruplayer.app with the subject Account and Data Deletion Request from the email address registered with your Miru account.

Method B: In-App Portal

Sign in to your account at miruplayer.app/account and click “Request data deletion” in the Privacy and Support section.

3. Verification & Timeline

To protect your privacy, we verify identity by confirming the request originated from the registered email address. Once verified, deletion is finalized within 30 days.

4. Retained Data & Retention Period

We do not retain personal information after account deletion. Ephemeral web server request logs (which do not contain account passwords or media content) are retained for a maximum of 30 days strictly for security, abuse detection, and network troubleshooting, after which they are automatically rotated and purged.
